The long awaited "personality of the month" is here!!..

For the month of August, I would be talking to Fashion designer, Onifade Oyinade on how the journey has been so far. She's got the passion and zeal for what she does (fashion designing).

LexTORCH: Hello Oyinade..you have been nominated for the LexTORCH personality of the month spot..i'm sure you don't mind being on the hot seat hehe 

Oyinade: Yea... I don't mind
               Good afternoon 

LexTORCH: Good afternoon...and welcome
              Firstly I'm gonna ask you..being the first person to get this spot..how do you feel? 

Oyinade: I feel so great..... never expected it
              It's actually my first time being interviewed on a blog 

LexTORCH: lol...that's sweet..your zeal and passion for what you do got you the spot..so i must say..kudos to you
                To those who don't know you...do say a few things about yourself 

Oyinade: Well... am Onifade oyinade.... a graduate of ajayi crowther university.. b.sc economics. Msc. Business administration (in view). Associate member institute of professional manager n administrator of Nigeria, chartered institute of project managers.

LexTORCH:  For those who don't know Oyinade..i believe now you know quite a lot.

That leads me to the main thing that got you the spot..FASHION DESIGNING...how did fashion designing start for you? 

Oyinade: Good outlook has always been my thing right from time.... most times when I give so called designers my fabrics to make for me I feel so bad at the end cos they don't really get what I want...... from then.... I picked up that passion to make designs myself....
Many people don't know what fits them..... n many designers don't know what fits there clients.....
Well.....  I love to see people on good outfit.....
What actually spot fashion designing in me...... is the no designer has ever suit my taste......

How did the brand name "1607essentials" come about?

Oyinade: Well it's actually my birthday date

Then the essentials.... looking at the scope of my business I might also need to go into more business later on...... that's y I didn't limit the business name to fashion designing alone
That brought about 1607essentials
Looking at my biz idea* not scope 

LexTORCH: Every business man or woman faces challenges here and there...so what has it been like for you?

Oyinade: Firstly I should say..... am not a graduate of the fashion school yet....
So I can't really say av been facing challenges so far..... n so far those that have allowed ma made there fabrics really do love what I gave them
Presently I don't av any challenge...... maybe when I finally get into the business proper .

LexTORCH: i guess not being a graduate...is kind of a challenge too
don't you think? 

Oyinade: Yeah , you are right.

LexTORCH: so what would you love to say to those who are just considering fashion designing as a business buh ain't sure about going into it???

Oyinade: Well..... picking a passion for designing is easy
But it's not for a lazy person
If you can't stand being corrected or trying out new things then you better change your consideration
It's fun an great creating new designs
