World’s fattest man dies after Christmas Day heart attack.

Andreas Moreno – who once weighed 980lbs (70 stone) – was taken to hospital near his home in Ciudad Obregón in Sonora, Mexico, where he later died. His publicist Carmen Palacios said

: ‘Andres died at 8.30am on Christmas Day in an ambulance from a heart attack as he was taken from his house to San Jose Hospital.’

The 38 year old had managed to lose 20 stone by the time he died, but it was not enough.

He previously had the suppot of Cristiano Ronaldo who sent him a signed Real Madrid football shirt to inspire him to lose weight.

Moreno said at the time: ‘I want to thank everyone, especially Ronaldo, for taking interest in my case."
