Popular OAP, Toke Makinwa, has advised people who were enduring
abusive marriages to abandon their marriages and never look back.
The
light skinned media personalty warned that it was dangerous to keep
enduring such marriages or relationships and hope that things would get
better.
Dishing the advice on her YouTube channel, Toke Moments in an episode titled ‘Its ok to leave‘ Toke said that it was better to leave such a toxic marriage and live that risk being murdered or going to jail for murder.
She said,
“When all you are ever thinking about is how the situation is consuming your soul then may be its time to leave. People don’t like to say these things openly because they believe when it comes to marriages, you cannot tell people to leave. Why would someone make you commit murder or spend the rest of your life in jail? it’s time to leave.”
Toke’s marriage to handsome entrepreneur, Maje Ayida lasted for only
eighteen months after it emerged that the latter had put his mistress,
Anita in the family way in 2015.
