A 30-year-old cab driver Nagaraj has been arrested for burning his
28-year-old wife Prema and their children alive inside his car, on
Sunday, August 7, in India.
According to Times of India, the man was traveling with his family
when got into a bitter argument with his wife and unfortunately for the
wife, the petrol kept in the car in case of emergency poured on her and
without holding back, he got of the car lit a match stick and set the
car ablaze.
The police officer in charge of the case disclosed that “Nagaraj
stepped out of the car after setting her on fire. She managed to throw
her children Thisanth Raj, 4 and two-year-old Yashwanth Raj, through the
open window on to the road. The children are out of danger and are
admitted in KMC hospital for treatment.”
The damaged car
While Prema managed to push out her kids from the car, she succumbed
to her injuries. She was rushed to Kilpauk Medical College with high
degree burns and died hours after. However, her four year old son
Thisanth Raj is in a critical condition.
