8 Things You’d Find In Every Nigerian Bathroom

Nigerians are bound by common experiences. Growing up wasn’t easy. There were certain experiences we all had. Well, Here are 8 Things You’d Find In Every Nigerian Bathroom.

Just based on a few experiences, one can tell who a Nigerian is in a crowd. You’re definitely an “omo Naija” if you have any of the following things in your bathroom:

Even if you have a bathtub or a shower, this is the actual bathing apparatus in Naija. It even comes with its own small version for scooping water.

How many Nigerians bother with a pedicure when there is this lovely local foot scrubber around?

5.  The toothbrush holder of life
toothbrushes
We all have that toothbrush holder that holds as many as 20 brushes even though your family only uses 5 of them.
6.  A drum

NEPA can be unpredictable. So nearly every bathroom in Naija has one of these water storage drums. Just in case NEPA misbehaves.
7.  The everlasting toothpaste

It might be “lack of money” or just forgetting the toothpaste has run out, we’ve all done this to toothpaste at some point in our lives:
8.  Repurposed Towel
rag
Naija mums are experts in never throwing anything away. Remember that your old towel, it has morphed into a rag for cleaning your feet when you leave the bathroom.
