if truly the bible condemns trousers for women then we shouldn't be wearing cloth that is made up of wool and linen(Deuteronomy 22:11) Suit is made up of wool and linen so it's should be sinful too. Why are we wearing suit ?and allowing our ladies to wear trousers when it comes to the aspect of educational service(NYSC) ? If we were to follow old testament laws we have to know if it has been updated in the new testament before concluding if the law is for this age or not.(Hebrew 8:7) We are in the new testament so we need to know that the new testament book came to replace old testament book which is faulty. As Christians we should abide with the new testament laws so as to understand Jesus life style and the grace of God. No body can abide by the old testament law completely you can only do some and violate others that is why we have the new testament . The old testament is the shadow of the new testament that it why I encouraged people to concentrate more on the new testament. Moses gave the law that a woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing, for the lord your God detests anyone who does this. (Deuteronomy 22:5). Some laws are in form of proverbs in which the reader needs to study the whole chapter so as to understand the point the author is trying to establish and not just picking a verse and making doctrine out of it. If you read the chapter very carefully, right from verse one you will notice that Moses laws for this chapter is centered on being a good Samaritan and not dressing in it real sense. verse 1, talks about being a good keeper towards your brother's ox. Verse 2, talks about if you can see/meet your brother you should keep his ox and restoring it to him when he comes. Verse 3, talks about doing same thing for his ass , raiment and not hiding and of his lost items you found. Verse 4, talks about helping his ass or ox if it falls. Verse 5, talks about not wearing what pertaineth to the opposite sex . If you study the above verses you will noticed there is a connection between those verses which is all emphasizing on being a good Samaritan to your brother's belongings. In the days of moses there was no specific clothing for gender so there can't be a law against it. The clothing of the people in biblical times was made from wool ,linen , animal skins , and perhaps silk. That is why Aaron wore skirt - psalm 133:2, Saul wore skirt- 1 sam24:11; Samuel wore skirt- 1 sam15:27. Both genders in the old testament wore garments which include skirts. Everything we need to know is in the scripture all we need is revelation and not to conclude base on what people say.
