FG finally finds a solution to “Tomato Ebola”

The Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Ogbonnaya Onu, said the FG, through the National Institute for Chemical Technology, Zaria, Kaduna State, had developed a home grown solution to the ravaging tomato pest Tuta absoluta aka ‘Tomato Ebola.’ ‪He said:

“The agency has developed a pesticide that is very effective against this new tomato pest, using locally available materials. Now there is a factory producing it. We should even let the world know the solution is coming from Nigeria, and should there be any outbreak anywhere in the world, they can come to Nigeria for a solution.”
