Now the world be drankin’ WTRMLN! Beyonce announced her latest partnership on Tuesday morning, just hours after she slayed in a Givenchy dress at the 2016 Met Gala. The Ivy Park designer has teamed up with WTRMLN WTR, a company that launched in 2013.
Founder Jody Levy told ET in a statement,
“Beyonce’s partnership and investment brings energy and purpose to our
mission to help educate consumer about clean, healthy hydration for
active lives. With all the functional and nutritional values, fitness
trainers, pro athletes, and health-conscious consumers are increasingly
turning to WTRMLN WTR, especially at that critical point of sweat.”
The announcement comes a month after Beyonce launched her new fitness clothing line, Ivy Park.
“I invested in WTRMLN WTR because it’s the future
of clean, natural hydration; as partners, we share a simple mission to
deliver accessible wellness to the world,” Beyonce said in a statement.
“This is more than an investment in a brand, it’s an investment in
female leaders, fitness, American farmers, and the health of people and
our planet.”
The cold-pressed juice comes from actual watermelons, harvested mostly on family-run farms. A 12 pack of the juices retail for $39.99, according the company’s website.
This marks another major announcement in an already
busy year for Beyonce. The GRAMMY winner launched her fitness line in
March and debuted her buzzed-about visual album, Lemonade, in April. So, what can the Beyhive expect next in June?
