Late Prince’s estate is up for grabs and over 700
people have tried to get their hands in the pot by claiming they’re
related to the late singer.

“Our phone has been ringing off the hook. I would say we have
received between 600 and 700 calls,” Harvey Morse, who is leading the
official hunt for relatives, told the Daily Mail. “They
run the gamut, literally from, ‘We lived in the same area so we must be
related,’ to, ‘We have pictures of Prince at our family reunion.’?”
But Morse, of Florida-based Morse Genealogical Services, prefers to rely on official documents.
“Birth, marriage, death, divorce certificates, census records, that sort of thing,” he said.
A probate judge has given the administrator of Prince’s estate permission to obtain a blood sample held by the medical examiner.
Prince has a full sister, Tyka Nelson, and five half-siblings.
Minnesota is one of the few states where half-siblings have as much
claim to an estate as full siblings, so it’s easy to see why so many
people are trying it.
