Ghanaian dancehall act and Kakai hit maker Charles Nii Armah well
known in showbiz circus as Shatta Wale may soon be hit with a lawsuit by
lawyers of The Multimedia Group of Companies should a demand made by
the company to the artist and his management to refund monies ‘owed’
them fail.
According to the notice of demand for refund exclusively available to
us at nydjlive.com, BELIEB & BELIEB LC, lawyers of The Multimedia
Group of Companies and Kumasi based Luv FM for that matter disclose the
said artist was by contract billed to perform at the OLD SKUUL’s REUNION 2015 on the 21st of November 2015.
However the artist left the stage
few minutes after he mounted it due to a technical challenge which was
later resolved. The letter continues to state that several calls and
pleas to the artist to perform fell on deaf ears.
In the nutshell, Shatta Wale is per the letter required to make a
full refund of GHC19,400 cedis. The estimated sum covers air tickets for
four (4), Contract sum of GHC 15,000 and cost of hotel rooms for 4.
Last year, reports emerged that Shatta Wale left stage after he
suffered a technical hitch during his performance at the Old Skuul’z
reunion held in Kumasi.
Shatta Wale’s new management is yet to comment on the letter.
