Apart from blessing people with series of gifts ranging from fridges
to power generating sets, on IG, the owner of Five Star Music, Emeka
Okonkwo aka E-money, also decided to give back to the street.
According
to Linda Ikeji, to do this, he flashed back to sometime in 2015, when
his brother, Kcee, was on the streets of Lagos hawking recharge cards as
an MTN ambassador.
Kcee had met one Promise, a ‘shoe – rack’ hawker from Ebonyi state,
who has been hawking for over 6 years and promised to help him. Today,
the Five Star music crew, led by Kcee, went in search of Promise who
hawks at ‘Ikeja Along’, Lagos. On getting there, Promise and his
brother had just been picked up by officials of KAI (Kick Against
Indiscipline) and transported to their office in Alausa, Ikeja.
The crew then went in search of him at the KAI office and after
several hours of pleading, he was released into their custody after
signing an undertaking that he will not hawk again. Promise has now
been given a brand new Toyota Corolla car, courtesy of E-Money, as well
as the sum of N300k to get a new apartment. Also his brother and friend,
that hawk with him, also got cash gifts…
