Personality of the week 5.

Toluwase Pelumi also known as LUMY (stage name as an Artiste) is a native of Ekiti state, Nigeria. He is a final year student of Ghana telecom university.. Studying economics.

Lumy is filled with lovable attributes.. He’s handsome (Ladies watch out).. Playful and fun to be with.. Not to forget the fact that he is very humble. Very Good adviser.

Below is an Interview of LUMY by LexTORCH.

What inspires you?

The Love and passion for music inspires me, not to forget things I see every day, things and activities that go on in my environment”

Hobbies ?

Well I love listening to music, playing and watching football and studying economics

How did music start for you?

Well it started funny. I actually learnt how to play the piano in jss2 and I use to compose songs back then alone in my dormitory. But then in the university I was just all about economics and other stuffs. In level 200, I started bonding with this friend of mine who is also an artist due to both of us liking music.

One day he played a beat for me and asked me to do something with it. I wrote down my lyrics and we went to the studio to go record it after 2 weeks. People were shocked when the found out that was my first recording because it sounded so professional. We recorded the first song titled “undefeated” and that was how the whole thing started.

Challenge in life?

 Well my main challenge is having to do music and making sure it doesn’t affect my schooling. This has been hard to balance but then I have been able to balance the two.

How do you handle the attention from ladies?

I don’t know o bros.. Ladies are very vital to the success of an artist we all know that. I love ladies definitely but then my focus on what I want to achieve keeps me on track.

At the end of the interview, I asked him what he would love to say to his fans and supporters out there…he said “ I like to first and foremost refer to my fans as my family, I thank God for giving me a wonderful family (fans), I want to thank them so much for their love, care and important advice and for supporting the LUMY brand, I promise never to let them down.”
