the pentagon.This robot can march into disaster areas such as
earthquakes,typhoons
etc to assist victims.Possessing a weight of 330 pounds at a given height of
6’2”, lifting of objects and task completion isn’t a difficulty.In addition,
direct human supervision is not needed and customized attachments can be added .
Now with this innovation, nuclear plant disasters would have minimal
casualties.
2:Argus II Retinal Prosthesis System
This is designed
for people suffering from retinitis pigmentosa, it gives good sight to the
visually impaired.Its the first visual prosthesis to receive U.S approval .It
functions as an artificial retina ,collects images and passes them to the brain
through the optic nerve.The device is surgically implanted in and on the
eye.The end result is vision restoration.

firefighters.Consists of six cameras,a Wi-Fi transmitter,microphone and sensors

4:Google Class
Google brings computer to us in form of glasses we
wear.Some smart phones are compatible with google class.Comprised of a
real-time gps, an internet browser, a video camera etc .Hand gestures and voice
commands are used in which a display floats just above your right eye when it
responds.Cool right?
Critics gave some
disadvantages such as driving distraction …among others
5:Gravity Light
Produced by Deciwatt.org, it is a device that uses
gravity to produce light .The light produced would span 30minutes.It is a very
portable device which is of great importance to rural areas since it generates
light without access to electricity, batteries etcetera you just have to hang
it and fill its bag with a heavy material, lift the bag and let it go…..BOOM!

6:Oculus Rift
Made by Oculus in California, it makes 3D gaming a
reality .It fulfils the dreams of most gamers as it creates such environment
.The retail version for the Oculus Rift is out, price speculations range from
$300-$600.One of the early advocates who is now chief technology officer, John
Cammark .This was no surprise as he was the lead programmer of wonderful games
like Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Quake….among others

3D objects so that they can be printed .Helps to clone small objects .This
reduces the time needed to get a computer created digital model before
digitizing.It has an object limit of 8 inches in diameter,2 lasers and a webcam
and the digital model or file can be gotten in 12minutes.It is easier than
having to use a software to design
8:Smart Guns
As these gun series are named ‘smart’ guns, examples are Colts 1966
handgun, Triggersmart, iGun M-2000,Armatix iP1 among others .These guns possess
electronic gun-safety systems ,proximity sensors, biometric system which are
individual approaches used to ensure that
a gun can only be fired by its authorized user .Using the proximity sensors,
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is used .While using the biometrics any
measurable physical characteristic of any authorized user can be used ,the
commonest being fingerprints.

be shared via a micro-usb connector to your laptops,phones etc.It can also be
charged using the micro-usb connector.It possesses great storage for as long as 800 hours of recorded audio
and has an OLED display which eases the use of the smartpen.
