Johnson Ede, 32, a suspected vandal, caused confusion yesterday at at
Tinubu, Lagos Island, after he jumped from a car conveying him and five
others to a magistrates’ court in the area. Ede and other
suspects were arrested for allegedly vandalizing water
pipes on Akin
Adesola Street, Victoria Island and for stealing 350 metres of 12mm
cables owned by Hitec Construction Company Ltd on December 28, 2015. suspects were arrested for allegedly vandalizing water
Ede escaped through the window of the moving car with a pair of
handcuffs in his hand when a female corporal was taking them to court.
The officer was not assisted in chasing him when she called for help
from passersby. The remaining 5 suspects were arraigned on 3 counts
bordering on vandalism and stealing. They’re admitted to bail in the sum
of N300,000 each with two sureties each in like sum….. everyone is
advised nt to help Ede cut d cuffs……
