Carpenter tortured to death by Policeman after being accused of stealing 3 clothes.

Salawu Kazeem, an Assistant Superintendent of Police attached to the Ogun State Police Command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, Ogun State, and two accomplices, have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.They allegedly tortured
Ganiyu Akinyemi, 21, to death in the Aboru area of Lagos State. Around 5pm on Monday, Kazeem and 4 men had gone to Ganiyu’s house to arrest him for stealing 3 T-shirts in a house where he went to work the previous week.
Kazeem told Ganiyu’s family that he would detain him at the Oke Odo Police Division but instead of taking him to the station, he took him to his own house to torture him. Ganiyu sustained injuries on the knees, hands and forehead.
He was subsequently rushed to the Oke Odo General Hospital, where he died. Kazeem begged Ganiyu’s family, saying his death was a mistake. The matter was reported to the Oke Odo Police Division and Kazeem and two of the men were arrested, while two others escaped.
