Jordan Jacobs, 21, was last seen at a restaurant on the island of Ko
Phi Phi Don on Saturday, and caused concern for his family when he rang
them and told them ‘the man won’t let me leave.’
Thai police said they have found Jordan, from Lyneham, Wiltshire, walking along a beach in the resort town of Krabi.
He has contacted his family to tell them that he’s fine. The Foreign Office earlier confirmed it was offering consular assistance to Mr Jacobs’s family.
His sister, Emily, said she believed Jordan had accepted a ride to Ko
Phi Phi Don from a Thai man in his 20s, who he met near a laundrette by
the Pak Up hostel, in mainland Krabi.
Later he borrowed a phone from another traveler to make contact with his family.
The family believes his disappearance is connected to the Thai man,
who Jordan’s backpacker friends say either owns or works on a farm on Ko
Phi Phi Don.
